Applications must be received by December 9th, 2016. Successful applicants will be notified by December 19th, 2016.
The festival is open to people with special needs who are age six (6) years and older as of January 1st 2017. We will give preference to Have-a-Go and other beginner skiers & snowboarders who haven’t been to the Winter Snowsports Festival before. Applicants who’ve attended the VISAS Winter Snowsports Festival in past years may be required to work in group situations (one instructor to several students). Sit-Ski and Bi-Ski skiers will always be accompanied by two instructors. The number of students accepted will depend upon available equipment and the number of volunteer instructors on hand to teach during the week.
Lessons run from 10am to noon and again from 1pm until 3pm. Lunch is not provided. PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED BEFORE 10am, DURING LUNCH AND AFTER 3pm FOR STUDENTS 15 YEARS OF AGE & YOUNGER AS OF JANUARY 1, 2017.
